If you are looking for a pool party near Seoul — or a summer pool party in Korea at all — the most realistic answer sits about ten minutes by car from Incheon Airport (ICN): Cimer at Paradise City. It is a spa and water park, and from mid-July to the end of August the outdoor pool turns into a party on Saturdays only. The water is heated, so you can stay in it long after dark, and when the pool party ends at 9pm the night continues inside the same resort at Club Chroma until 4am.

Are there really pool parties in Korea?

Yes — but not in central Seoul. They happen at resort and hotel outdoor pools just outside the city, and only in summer. Unlike a club, they run on a fixed season and a fixed day of the week, so you have to plan around the date.

Cimer is one of the easier ones to reach from Seoul. You can get there on the airport express line, and there is a round-trip shuttle bus from Apgujeong Rodeo in Seoul. Incheon Airport is right next door, which makes it a good fit for your first or last day in Korea — or a long layover.

Yeongjongdo and the area around Incheon Airport

Yeongjongdo is the island Incheon International Airport sits on. It is roughly an hour by car from central Seoul, or 40–50 minutes on the AREX airport express from Seoul Station. A cluster of large integrated resorts sits on the island, which is why it works so well as a one-day stop at the start or end of a trip.

Paradise City is one of them — a hotel, casino, art space, club and spa inside a single complex. Because the airport is next door, the crowd is genuinely international, and that is exactly why this pool party feels less like a Korean hotel pool and more like a resort party abroad.

What is Cimer?

Cimer is the spa and water park inside Paradise City. It is split into an indoor spa and sauna area, a jjimjilbang-style relaxation zone, an indoor pool, and an outdoor pool.

In summer that outdoor pool hosts the party, branded 2026 CIMER SUMMER FESTA. In 2026 it ran 11 July to 29 August, every Saturday — eight dates in total. The DJ and concept change week to week, and it goes ahead in the rain.

One thing to know before you book: it is adults only (19+). ID is checked at the door, so bring your passport.

· Parking — 7 hours free with Cimer, plus another 6 hours if you go on to Chroma.

Start with the aqua spa and sauna

It is easy to turn up thinking only about the pool party, but the package includes the aqua spa, so I soaked first. The baths are split into cold, warm and hot, and there are several saunas. It was busy, but the water temperature was spot on — comfortable enough to stay in for a long time. There is a spot with a strong jet of water; the pressure was good and I spent a while loosening up my shoulders and back.

Shampoo and body wash are provided, and you pick up towels inside. If a Korean bathhouse is new to you, that is usually the first question — you do not need to buy anything to bring in.

Photography is not allowed inside the spa, so there are no pictures of this part.

The outdoor pool party — and yes, the water is warm

In the afternoon it reads like a resort pool. Big inflatables float on the water and a red TOO HOT installation and booth sit along the poolside.

I had expected cold water. It was heated. There was no bracing yourself on the way in, and even once the sun went down and the air cooled, I never felt like getting out. I spent far more time standing in the water listening to music and moving than actually swimming — which only works because the water is warm.

The atmosphere was the best part. Because the airport is next door the crowd is international, and watching people dance freely in the water pulled me in too. Nobody is checking who is looking, which oddly makes it easier to relax.

Once the lights come on, the pool turns into an open-air club. Take your photos in daylight, then spend the evening in the water watching the show — that order works best.

Eating and drinking — the Sports Bar inside the pool area

One rule matters here: there is no re-entry once you leave the pool area. So food and drinks have to happen at the Sports Bar inside. It is indoors, which also makes it a good spot to dry off for a few minutes. The smoking room is inside the pool area too.

9pm: on to Club Chroma

When the pool party ends at nine, you walk over to Club Chroma in the same resort. As the banner at the entrance says, if you are still wearing your Cimer wristband, entry to Chroma is free and it comes with a drink. You do not buy another ticket.

You do need to change into dry clothes here — you cannot walk in wet from the pool. Pack an outfit for this part.

Before the main room there is a red-lit space with a pool table, and a few dart machines. Useful when the music gets to be a bit much and you want to step out for a while.

Chroma is closer to a show than a club

This is not a club that only plays DJ sets. Dancers and performers come out on stage in rotation, and the costumes and staging change from song to song. Watching it reminded me of the Moulin Rouge show I saw in Paris on my honeymoon — the feathers, the lighting, the way the stage was worked. Taken purely as a show, it was worth sitting down for.

Cocktail pricing is simple: classics are all 20,000 KRW and highball-style drinks are 10,000 KRW.

Towels and basic shower products are provided, so you do not need much. Still, after doing it once, these are worth having:

Is the water cold?
It was heated when I went. After dark the water was noticeably warmer than the air, so I stayed in.
