Full disclosure up front: I didn’t actually stay overnight this time. A friend booked Conrad Seoul for the weekend, and I came by during the day with my little one, we relaxed in the room and used the 8th-floor pool together. Even for just a few hours, the Han River view and that bed were good enough that I left thinking, next time we’re booking our own night. Here’s an honest look at the room, the view, and the Pulse8 pool.

Location, Yeouido IFC, connected to the subway & The Hyundai
Conrad Seoul sits inside IFC Seoul in Yeouido (10 Gukjegeumyung-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu). It’s connected underground to Yeouido Station (Lines 5 & 9), IFC Mall and The Hyundai Seoul, so you can shop, eat and catch a movie without stepping outside. Yeouido Hangang Park is close by too, handy with a stroller, and a real plus on a rainy day.

The Room, Han River Views & a Seriously Comfy Bed
We hung out in my friend’s room, high enough up that the Han River and the Seoul skyline filled the windows. The thing that surprised me most was the bed, genuinely comfortable; I put the baby down for a nap, laid back for a second, and we all ended up melting into it. The room felt roomy, with a separate dressing/storage area by the entrance that keeps luggage tidy.

The view
The floor-to-ceiling Han River view is the highlight. In daylight the river and its bridges look almost like a painting, and the baby was glued to the window for ages.

Bathroom & Amenities
The bathroom is clean and upscale in marble, double vanity, rain shower, and a tub by the window that looks made for a soak with a river view. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash come in dispensers, and towels and basics were all well stocked.

In-Room Minibar & Coffee (yes, a Dyson dryer)
The room has a minibar, a capsule coffee machine and a kettle for a quick cup. A small but telling detail: the hair dryer is a Dyson. There’s a minibar checklist too.

The Pool, Pulse8 (8F, 25m, gorgeous natural light)
The highlight with a little one was the 8th-floor pool, Pulse8. It’s a 25m indoor pool wrapped in glass on all sides, so the natural light is fantastic, bright and uplifting. There’s no separate kids’ pool, but with a life vest the baby splashed around happily. One key tip: a swim cap is required, you won’t be let in without one, so pack it (check on-site purchase). Open daily 06:00–22:00 and free for hotel guests.

Breakfast, Zest (info only, we skipped it)
Since we were only there during the day, we didn’t have breakfast, but for reference: Conrad Seoul’s breakfast is served at Zest (2F) daily 06:30–10:30, a buffet known for its range (Korean, Western, Chinese, Japanese). It runs ₩67,000 for adults, with free or discounted rates for children by age (confirm when booking). There’s also an Italian restaurant, Atrio (2F), and 37 Grill & Bar on the 37th floor with panoramic Han River views.

Final Take
Even from a short daytime visit, the Han River views, the comfy bed and that light-filled pool made it clear why Conrad Seoul is such a popular Yeouido staycation.
