Brown Suites Busan Station Review: A Residence Stay Right by the Station (Harbor Views, Full Kitchen) — Why Korea’s Residence Hotels Are So Handy

Planning a trip to Korea and not sure what kind of place to book? Here’s a local tip most foreign travelers don’t know: alongside regular hotels, Korea has a huge number of “residence” stays (serviced-apartment-style hotels). They come with a full kitchen, washing machine, and spacious living areas — basically a real apartment you rent by the night. They’re fantastic value and a lifesaver for families, groups, and longer stays, since you can cook, do laundry, and spread out. If you learn to use them, they can seriously upgrade your Korea trip.

On this trip we stayed at Brown Suites Busan Station with my parents, and it was a perfect example of why residence stays are so handy — right next to the train station, with a kitchen, laundry, and a one-of-a-kind view where the sea and a waterfront park meet. Here’s our honest review.

💰 Great value, right by the station — check live rates:

✈️ How to Get There (Right by Busan Station)

  • Address: 160 Chungjang-daero, Dong-gu, Busan (front desk: Hyupseong Marina G7, B-dong 2F)
  • Access: Directly linked to Busan Station Exit 10 · near International Ferry Terminal
  • Check-in 16:00–23:00 (contact them if arriving later) / Check-out 11:00
  • Self check-in — you get the door code by KakaoTalk on arrival day
  • Luggage storage at the front desk · convenience store on the ground floor · parking on B2

🔑 Easy Self Check-in

Check-in is fully self-service. On the day of your stay you receive a KakaoTalk message with the entry code, so there’s no waiting at a desk. The front desk holds luggage if you arrive early or leave late, and there’s a convenience store on the 1st floor for snacks and essentials — super convenient for travelers.

🛋️ Living Room & the Sea-Meets-Park View

Our unit was an Ocean Deluxe D (Tower A, 26th floor) — one bedroom plus a separate living room and kitchen, roomy enough for three of us. The floor-to-ceiling windows frame a genuinely unique view where Busan’s North Port and a waterfront park meet. My parents loved it, and especially loved an early-morning stroll in the sea-view park right below.

🍳 Full Kitchen (Cook Your Own!)

This is where residence stays shine. The kitchen is fully equipped — induction cooktop, rice cooker, kettle, oven, and a complete set of dishes, cups and cutlery. We bought fresh food at Jagalchi and Gukje Market and reheated it in the oven for a cozy, local-style feast in the room. For families or anyone tired of eating out, this is a game-changer (and it saves money).

🛏️ Bedroom

The bedroom is cozy and the bedding was clean and comfortable, with a window that lets the sea-and-park view in — a lovely thing to wake up to. Built-in storage made unpacking easy.

🚿 Bathroom

The bathroom felt upscale — marble-look tiles with a rain shower in a glass shower booth, plus tidy amenities. A nice step above a typical budget stay.

🧺 Laundry & Styler (Just Like Home)

Another residence perk: a washer and dryer with detergent, plus a clothing styler. Being able to wash and freshen clothes mid-trip is a huge plus, especially on longer stays.

🌃 Busan Harbor & Station Night Views

After dark the view becomes the star. The city lights, North Port, and the Busan Harbor Bridge glow beautifully, and you can watch trains slide in and out of Busan Station right below. Sea by day, glittering harbor by night — the view alone made the stay.

🍜 What’s Nearby

The location opens up a lot. The sea-view North Port park is a perfect morning walk; Jagalchi, Gukje and Kkangtong markets are about 10 minutes by taxi; and you can even walk to the Busan Port festival area. Grab classic Busan eats (milmyeon, nakgopsae, dwaeji-gukbap) nearby, or buy market food and reheat it in your kitchen — the best of both worlds.
