Looking for a hotel near Haeundae Station in Busan? I stayed at Ramada Encore by Wyndham Busan Haeundae during a business trip for G-STAR — Korea’s largest video game expo, held every November at BEXCO in Busan — and it turned out to be a convenient, good-value base right next to the subway. Here is an honest review of the Superior Double room, the Alive breakfast buffet, and what to know before booking.
Location & Getting There
The hotel sits at 9 Gunam-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan, about a one-minute walk from Exit 3 of Haeundae Station (Line 2). Haeundae Beach is roughly a five-minute walk, and there is a convenience store on the ground floor with Starbucks, Olive Young and Daiso right across the street. For business travelers, BEXCO is only a few subway stops away, so it works for conventions like G-STAR as well as a beach holiday.

Floor guide: guest rooms are on 5–25F; the lobby, reception and restaurant are on the lobby floor; the gym, coin laundry and ice machine are on 4F; and parking is on B1–B3.
Check-in & Hotel Facilities
Check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out 11:00 AM. Check-in was quick with no wait, and I received two keycards and a high floor (22F). Self-parking is ₩10,000 per night. One thing to note: the elevators are split between low and high floors and can get busy at peak times, since the hotel has a large number of rooms.
Superior Double Room

I stayed in a Superior Double room with one wide double bed and crisp white bedding. By the window there is a wooden desk with a chair and a bench, handy for working on a laptop or sorting luggage, plus sheer and blackout curtains. The wall-mounted smart TV supports OTT apps such as Netflix. The view faces the building across the street rather than the ocean, and the floor is carpeted. My nightly rate averaged around ₩150,000–160,000 across weekday and weekend stays, though prices vary by date.
Bathroom & Amenities

The bathroom was spotless, with a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. The room has coffee sticks, cups, a kettle and slippers. Two practical notes: there is no USB port, so bring a charging adapter, and no toothbrush or toothpaste (the Daiso across the street is an easy fix). It is a shower-only bathroom with no bathtub, which is fine for a business hotel but worth knowing if you like a soak.
Alive Breakfast Buffet

Breakfast is served at the hotel restaurant, Alive, for about ₩25,000 per adult (reserve by your check-in day). The spread mixes Korean and Western dishes: fried shrimp, grilled mackerel, stir-fried pork, smoked salmon, kimchi fried rice, a bread and pastry corner, cereal and yogurt with toppings, a salad bar with several dressings, fruit and juices. The standout is a make-your-own dwaeji-gukbap station — a hearty Busan specialty of pork and rice served in a milky pork-bone broth, where you add green onion and seasoning to taste. It is a local classic you rarely find at a hotel breakfast.
Check-out & Late Check-out

Express check-out is available: just drop your keycard in the box on the first floor, no need to queue at the lobby. Late check-out is reasonably priced, until 2:00 PM Sun–Thu and until 12:00 PM Fri–Sat, at ₩11,000 per extra hour.
Guest Ratings
Across platforms the hotel scores well: about 4.2 on Google (1,900+ reviews), 4.4 on Trip.com and 4.3 on Tripadvisor. Guests most often praise the location, cleanliness and value, plus the shops downstairs. The main recurring complaint is that the elevators and breakfast buffet get crowded when large tour groups stay, which matched my own experience with the elevator wait.
Final Verdict
Ramada Encore by Wyndham Busan Haeundae is not right on the beach, but its location one minute from Haeundae Station, five minutes from the sand, and a short subway ride from BEXCO makes it a strong, well-priced base — whether you are in Busan for the beach or for a convention like G-STAR. It is quiet at night and comfortable, exactly what I wanted on a work trip.
