El Momento Osiria Residence, Busan: Ocean-View vs City-View (Honest Comparison)

First, a quick local tip: what is a "residence" in Korea?
If you usually book hotels, this is good to know. Here in Korea we use apartment-style stays called 레지던스 (rejideonseu) all the time, especially families and anyone staying a while. Instead of one hotel room you get a whole apartment, with a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, a living room and often two bedrooms.

Here is the part that surprises visitors. A lot of these units are owned by ordinary people as an investment, and a management company runs them as short-stay rooms on the owner's behalf. So dozens of privately owned flats end up run like one hotel. That is why they feel so homey, and why the décor can differ a little from room to room. For you it means more space, a kitchen, and good value, which is great for families or a longer trip.

📍 Location & the basics

· Address: 17 Dongbusan-gwangwang 7-ro, Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan
· Area: Osiria Tourism Complex — near Lotte World Busan, Lotte Premium Outlets, IKEA and Ananti Cove
· Type: Apartment-style residence (full kitchen) — ocean-view / standard
· Parking: On-site parking
· Great for: Families, ocean-view stays, self-catering, longer trips
The short version: the layout, kitchen and fittings are the same in both rooms. The only real difference is the view. In the ocean-view unit I felt like I was at a resort. The standard unit was perfectly nice, but it felt like a normal apartment.

🌊 The Ocean-View Unit (highly recommended)

Living room

You can see the sea from the living room and the bedroom, which I loved. The water is right there wherever you sit. The unit is new and roomy, so it was comfortable with my parents. The living-room sofa is a powered recliner too, which was perfect for lazing about and watching the water.

Bedroom

The bed was not super-plush five-star, but comfy enough to sleep well. And you can see the sea from the bedroom, so opening the curtains in the morning became my little ritual.

🌅 My favorite part: the ocean-view balcony

Honestly, the balcony was my favorite part of the whole stay. I would take a coffee out, look at the sea, and lose track of time. For me, the view alone was worth the room.

Kitchen & facilities (fully equipped)

The kitchen has everything: an induction cooktop, a washer and dryer, a Nespresso machine and kettle, and all the plates, cups and pots you need. Cooking and longer stays are easy here. There was even a clothing-care styler to freshen up our clothes.

Bathroom

The bathroom was clean and tidy, with a tub for a good soak after a day out.

🍽 Cooking in the room

Since the kitchen was so complete, we picked up some beef and grilled it for dinner. Eating it while looking at the sea felt pretty special. One honest thing: like any apartment stay, you wash your own dishes and take out the basic trash.

🏙 The Standard (City-View) Unit

The next night we switched to a standard unit. It is actually a lovely room, and the kitchen and fittings are exactly the same as the ocean-view one. But the windows look onto the complex and other buildings instead of the sea, so it just felt like a regular apartment to me. Same room, really. The view is the whole difference.

🅿 Parking

There is parking on site, which made it easy to get around the Osiria area by car.

🌅 A morning walk along the coast to Ananti

My parents love a morning walk, so we followed the coast all the way to Ananti Cove. The seaside path here is lovely early in the day, with a sea breeze and hardly anyone around, and it is easy to reach straight from the building.

💡 Tips

· Book the ocean-view unit. The rooms are identical inside, so you are really paying for the view, and it is worth it. Do not miss the balcony.
· You can cook, so grab groceries and self-cater to save money (you handle dishes and trash yourself).
· Lotte World Busan, Lotte Outlets, IKEA and Ananti are all close, so getting around is easy. There are not many restaurants right by the building, though.
· Take a morning walk along the coast to Ananti.
· A car helps, and there is on-site parking.
· On a budget or traveling with kids? See my Baymond Hotel and Shilla Stay Haeundae reviews too.

⭐ The verdict

The bed is not luxury-grade and you clean up after yourself, like any apartment stay. And honestly, I would not go back to the standard unit. It is fine, but it feels like a regular flat. The ocean-view unit is a different story. That balcony and the sea from every room made it feel like a proper resort, and I would happily book it again just for the view. It was a calm, easy stay by the sea with my parents. My advice for El Momento Osiria: book ocean-view.
